A collaborative approach to vacant home staging Pelham makes success easy.

Jeanny and her husband find AtWell Staged Home through a Google search. This young couple with three small children is relocating to Maryland for a job promotion. We have one month to review the home, take care of paint and repairs, and stage.

Staging with a client’s own furniture and accessories can run as little as a few hundred dollars, whereas complete vacant home staging will always run at least a few thousand dollars due to increases in labor and rental budgets.

Jeanny and her husband choose a hybrid solution suggested by AtWell Staged Home that reduces the overall home staging investment. This solution mixes the use of rental items with the home owners’ unique art and accessories.

The approach is successful and Jeanny writes:
“Just wanted to let you know that three days after the house went on the market, we received two offers. We accepted one of them and are on our way! Thanks so much. The staging really sealed the deal!!

The home’s original list price is 785k with the final sale coming in at 775k, about 1% below asking.

While staging the built-ins that flank the fireplace, we scour the house for items. I find a thick painted piece of wood in their old master bedroom closet. I put it on the shelf, and it looks like art! I don’t know if it was art, but it is now! When Jeanny comes up to de-stage the home, she sends the following picture and writes:

Jeanny: “I am cleaning out the house…Not sure if the following is a rental item or something you bought?”

Susan: “That’s a funny story! I found that painted piece of wood in your closet. It looked like a piece of art, so I put it on the bookshelf. Wasn’t sure if you knew what it was or would get a chuckle out of seeing it on the shelf. So, short answer, it’s yours.”

Jeanny: “Oh. That is funny. I had no idea it was in the house. I will take it with me as a keepsake!

You never know. Maybe it is that single piece of “artwork,” placed just in the right spot, that cinched the deal! (Nah.)
