When we arrive that Saturday morning, with snow still on the ground, the power is on but the heat is not. While waiting for the heat to be fixed, the outside temperature rises higher than that inside the home, and we begin to warm the house by opening windows and doors.

To further complicate matters, there are two other minor challenges. No running water and a snowy path leading to the entrance. I stay warm by shoveling the path as we wait for the delivery folks.

Within hours of listing, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1,222-sqare-foot ranch home has its first offer leading to an eventual sale of $33,000 (or 13.3%) over the asking price of $249k, for $282k, in a massive bidding war.
