Planning ahead for a profitable home sale, these home sellers start their staging a year in advance, leading to 6 offers within days of listing and a final sale at almost $100K over asking.

Since 2008 I have been working with Realtors and clients, and early on I realize that there is an entire market of sellers not being served because of the numerous misconceptions around what home staging really is.

One thing I discover is that the majority of home sellers will live in their homes while they are on the market.

I also learn that most home sellers don’t want to spend a lot of money on décor but are willing to make sound investments in the things that will stay with a home, like paint, repairs, and a thorough cleaning.

Many people are willing to do much of the work themselves once they know where to focus their time, money, and efforts.

They also want to live and function in their home and have it continue to feel like their own.

And above all else, they need the staging done quickly, efficiently, and with the greatest return on their investments of time and money.

A more generic name for this type of staging is “Occupied Home Staging.” This term applies to any owner-occupied home (or estate) that is staged with the home owners’ own furniture, art, and accessories.

After following our newsletter for a few years and attending our Decorating Your Home to Sell (or Dwell) webinar, home owner John reaches out to AtWell Staged Home.
