When we arrive for the initial consultation, the house has been almost completely cleared out in preparation for some major structural repair to the flooring on the main living level.
The furniture, formerly in the living room, dining room, entryway, and bedrooms, is stored in the basement and in their attached and detached garages.
I am relieved to learn that the furniture is still on-site. The difference in cost between staging a vacant home and an owner-occupied home is huge.
At our initial consultation, we “shop” these storage spaces for the items we’ll use to stage the home. Definitely time well spent!
With our guidance, Evelyn purchases some new accent pieces. These include area rugs for the living room, family room, and master bedroom, along with chairs for the master sitting area, some throw pillows, two lamps, and a dining room chandelier. All other art, accessories, and furniture are theirs.
